The Blogger service is has had some technical problems, I don't know how long they will stay in business. I have backups of this material.

We received a routine update from Constable Friesen of the RCMP, there have been no developments since the negative aerial search.

I've scanned the slides Max sent and I'm going to mail him the slides and two CDs. The full resolution images Max took are beautiful, but the total slide collection came to over 300 MB. A much smaller web presentation combinbing these and my much fuzzier pictures is here.

I've updated Brian's site, particularly the main page (which now provides more background) and the memorial page. The latter now references one of Brian's screenplays and a collection of his MOC trip reports, as well as several of the statements from the Montreal and Manchester memorial services. Additional photos of Brian and of the July search will be added over the next few weeks.

Max has loaned me 30+ slides of the Rainbow Mountain trip. I should be able to scan and post those @ October 15th, I did have time to do one slide (slide scanner) and the results were excellent.

In the meantime I was playing with my Apple iPhoto and I posted some poor quality images from my pocket camera. These images suffer both from image processing artifacts and a poor quality lens, but for now they do give one a sense of the mountain and terrain where we think Brian was lost. (Naturally my iPhoto experience turns out to be a bit complex ...)

[Since this was written I've updated the page with Max Lewkowski's pictures.]
